In my book; the Libyan years, I have described how parts of the desert in Libya are vitrified. That is extraodinary because you do not expect something like that. The vitrified area lies on the border area of Libya and Egypt. Sand is glazed under temperatures between 1700 and 2000 degrees Celsius.

The glass is known as Tektite, suddenly so much energy and heat had been released that the desert sand had melted into glass.

Libyan glass is striking because of its yellow color but can also have brown tones due to the different sand layers. It is the only tektite on earth with this striking yellow color and is therefore also called 'gold tektite'.

In the time of the Pharaohs, tektiet was already known and it was seen as a precious gem.

Tutankhamun also written as Tutenkh, -amen, amon; (reigned from 1341 - 1323 BC) was an Egyptian pharaoh from the 18th dynasty the period known as the new kingdom.

In his death mask, precious stones were placed, on the one hand because they were precious, but on the other hand because from Egyptian writings it appears that they were 'sent' directly by Ra the sun God, and if you yourself were related to Ra or Amon as a pharaoh, then you had the right to carry his gifts. It was a gem reserved for the highest class.

Ra had its peak of veneration in the 5th Dynasty, circa 2500 years before Christ, and came from 'behind' the sun, according to the Egyptian mythology, from where he traveled with his solar boat through his territories.

Every pharaoh had a copy of the solar boat, and it is interesting to know that such boats have been found (see the solar boat of Pharaoh Khufu).

'The origin of desert glass is uncertain. Meteoritic origin has long been considered an option, and recent research links the glass to impact characteristics, such as zirconia degradation, evaporated quartz and meteoritic metals. Some geologists associate the glass with radiation melt of large meteoric air jams, making it analogous to trinitite formed from sand exposed to the thermal radiation of a nuclear explosion. The forming of Libyan desert glass is dated at about 26 million years ago. "

(photos of this molten sand can be found on the following link: strewnfield Libyan desert) showing that hundreds of tons of 'glass' extend over hundreds of kilometers of desert.

More specifically, the area covers 6500 km² and is located between the Koufra Oasis in South-West Egypt and the N'Giffel-Khabir Plateau (Gilf Kebir) at the Egyptian-Libyan border.

Tutankhamun's brooch with a 'scarabe' tektite in the centre, dated at an age of 28 million years.

Whatever happened there was realized under extremely high temperatures. A heat source of between 1700 degrees at least up to 2000 degrees Celsius or more caused the transformation. Sand becomes glazed between these temperatures.

What happened in Mohenjo-daro:

Mohenjo-daro (Urdu: موئن جودڑو, Sindhi: موئن جو دڙو, English: Hill of the Dead) - a city of the civilization of the Indus Valley built around 2600 BC, located in the province of Sindh in Pakistan. That ancient 5000-year-old city is the largest of the Indus Valley, widely recognized as one of the most important early cities of South Asia and the Indus Valley civilization. Mohenjo Daro, one of the world's first cities and simultaneously with ancient Egyptian and Mesopotamian civilizations, is also called 'Indus Valley Metropolis'.

                                     300px-Dancing_girl_mohenjodaro.jpg

'Mohenjo-daro was a hub of cultures, with its population of 40 000 souls it was an unlikely big city in ancient times. Art was at a high level, see the figurines found, people had techniques that did not take place in Western Europe until after the Middle Ages. There were water reservoirs and a sewer system.

"When excavations of Harappa and Mohenjo-daro reached the street level, skeletons were discovered scattered across the cities, many hand in hand and stretched out in the streets as if their lives had ended in one fell swoop, with their faces down the ground as if they had simply fallen over.

Why have the bodies not perished or why were they not eaten by wild animals? No traces of physically violent death have been found and what is remarkable is that the skeletons carry a high radioactive charge. Scientists found a skeleton that gave a 50 times higher radioactive reading than normal.

Thousands of black molten stones  were found in the Mohenjo-daro area. These appear to be fragments of clay and sand that melted together in extreme heat. Other cities have been found in northern India, showing signs of large-scale explosions. One of these cities, found between the Ganges and the Rajmahal mountains, seems to have been exposed to intense heat.

The walls and foundations of the old city are fused together, literally vitrified. That brings the glass desert of Libya in mind, what extreme temperatures have taken place here and what caused that? '

What kind of explanations can there be? 'In recent history we have the Tunguska event in present-day Russia (1908). The Tunguska event was a major explosion that took place near the Stony Tunguska River in Yeniseysk Governorate (now Krasnoyarsk Krai), Russia, in the morning of June 30, 1908. The blast over the sparsely populated East Siberian Taiga 'cleared' 2.000 square kilometers (770 square miles) forest, but caused no known human casualties. The explosion is generally attributed to the air blast of a meteor. It is classified as an impact event, although no impact crater has been found.

But is that what happened in Libya or in Monhenjo-daro?

Albion W. Hart, one of the atom scientists who graduated from The Massachusets Institute of Technology, when he was driving through the White Sands test areas in Alamogordo, observed exactly the same pieces of glass left behind after the atomic explosions he had observed 50 years earlier. in the African desert. After the experimenter explosions, the areas were always examined for the results of the explosions.

Only ... to make the pieces of glass as they occur in the African desert would require an atomic explosion that was 10,000 times more powerful than in New Mexico.

So what happened in those times so far behind us?

Old texts or sacred songs or holy books may offer an explanation.'

Bhagavad Gita is such an old text, consisting of 700 verses in Sanskrit. It is really old, we are talking about the 5th century BC and then the events are already from distant past events. (think of our Bible by comparison). Bhagavad Gita means in Sanskrit, the song of God, it is unclear whether the singing comes from God and that God is revealing truths, or that it is about the Godhead. In any case, these Vedic poems carry a record, from those alive then about for them extremely important events. Events that should not be forgotten.

The 700 verses form part of a larger whole: the Mahabharata.

The Mahabharata has over 200 000 verse lines covering 1.8 million words. You do not simply write such an epic poem for the fun of it. In terms of civilization value it is comparable to the works of Shakespeare, the Bible, the Quran, the works of the Greek author of the Iliad and the Odyssey, Homer. What makes the part of Bhagavad Gita so special?

                                       images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTJVEtWE1MHDy_CsKAafU3

It are verses that record very important events. There are a number of verses that specifically refer to aereal warfare. Vimama's are used by the Deity and what can they be? These are self-propelling vehicles in the air that are used during a war and that carry an all-destroying load.

The nuclear war of the Drona Parva:

One of the strangest stories about the ancient Hindustani Vedas comes from a translation of the Drona Parva, the seventh book in the Mahabharata. The book describes Drona, a warrior who has been appointed as leader of an army in the war in Kurukshetra and his subsequent death in that battle. The story links up with themes found elsewhere in the Mahabharata, and other ancient texts that describe the difficulties of war, but this specific book provides a number of descriptions that seem eerily similar to the effects of a nuclear war.

'....Explosions that leveled everything, animals that screamed as they went up in flames, pregnant women whose babies died in the womb and metal armor that melted on the skins of warriors who wore it, all sound like the result of a nuclear explosion. There are reports of birds falling from the sky, because of a single projectile that is charged with all the power of the universe, as clear as a thousand suns.

"We beheld in the air what seemed to us like a mass of a scarlet cloud resembling the fierce flames of a blazing fire, from which flared flashing flames, and enormous roars, as the sound of a thousand drums struck at once surrounding the warriors. And from that many weapons fell, winged with gold and thousands of thunderbolts, with loud explosions and many hundreds of fiery wheels....'

                                            images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSycG-cEMAIInwXhgoyXLQ

and a second report:

From the Mahabharata:' ... a single projectile loaded with all the power of the universe. A glowing smoke and flame column As bright as the thousand suns, rose in all its splendor ... a perpendicular explosion with its flowing clouds of smoke ... ... the cloud of smoke that arose after its first explosion formed in expanding circles like the opening of gigantic parasols ... ..it was an unknown weapon, An iron lightning bolt, A gigantic messenger of death, Which reduced to ashes the entire race of the Vrishnis and the Andhakas. ... The bodies were so burned that they were unrecognizable. The hair and nails of the others fell out; Pottery broke without a clear cause, and the birds became white and fell from the sky. After a few hours all food was contaminated ...'

For some reason I am always skeptical about historical records that are not Western, so ...

Let us have a look at another old document; the Bible.

                                                images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTajNFeHELLiYdDb2SAf5J

The Western world judicial system has been guided by the Bible for centuries, so you can say that it is a document that exercised a lot of influence on our society. I want to review the case of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Let's go back far in Biblical time to the first Bible book: Genesis. In the story of Genesis, God reveals to Abraham that Sodom and Gomorrah are to be destroyed because of their grave sins (18:20). Abraham pleads for the lives of all righteous people living there, especially the lives of his nephew, Lot, and his family. God agrees to save the cities if 10 righteous people can be found (18: 23-32). Two angels are sent to Lot in Sodom, but are awaited by a threatening and godless crowd who are then blinded by the angelic guests (19: 1-11).

Because they only find Lot and his family as righteous among the inhabitants, the angels warn Lot to quickly leave the city and not look back. As they flee the destruction zone, Lot's wife looks back on the city and turns into a salt pillar (19: 12-29).

           sodom-and-gomorrah.jpg

-and the Lord showed his displeasure, and "caused it to rain fire and brimstone ... He destroyed everyone who lived there and everything that grew in the ground."

Extraordinary events take place here as well. There is a supreme being who is not very pleased. He decides to give effect to his displeasure. Also in this story the misery comes from the sky ..as stated, 'it rained fire ..' not only does the fire rain down on the cities, but everything is destroyed to the ground. In addition, the angels use hi-tech 'they strike their assailants with blindness'.

It is not a natural disaster that is taking place ... no .. it is planned. Angels (extraterrestrials?) go to the house of Lot to warn him. The woman of Lot lingers, she waits and looks around .. and turns into a salt pillar .. Does she crystallize under high temperature? Did the punishment for the inhabitants also meet her? Should the fleeers not have looked back so that they would not be blinded? Who knows one might say. But here again is a record of total destruction that is sent from the sky.

Later, under epic compaction and recording, a morality is connected to it. Namely that Sodomy, homosexuality, would have been the reason for the destruction. Christians have always been good at pointing a finger at the 'guilty'.

As is often the case, posing questions only raises more questions. Which does not take away, that cities were destroyed from the air, that deserts have been vitrified under extremely high temperatures and that you find the same with destroyed Indian cities from antiquity. That mention is made in the oldest possible writings about flying machines that sow death and damnation. I can only conclude that the world and its history are cyclical and for some reason we do not find this back in our history books.

I want wish you all a happy Christmas season. God bless. Please share this story!
